Managed product-catalog cleanup from supplier files to live channels.
You send us supplier spreadsheets or exports. We clean and normalize the product data, detect duplicates, fill missing fields, and prepare every record for your ERP and ecommerce channels. Logistify handles the catalog work for you, with human review for exceptions.

The Problem
Every new supplier sends product data in their own format — Excel with different column names, PDFs, zip files of images, and informal descriptions. Someone on your team has to parse each file, normalize the fields, check for duplicates, map to Amazon and Shopify schemas, and manually enter the data. At 20–30 minutes per SKU, onboarding a supplier with 3,000 products is a multi-month project. Meanwhile your catalog falls behind your competitors'.
The Solution
You send us whatever your suppliers provide: Excel, CSV, PDF, image zips, or system exports. We extract and normalize every field, cross-reference your existing catalog to block duplicates, enrich missing attributes, map each record to Shopify, Amazon, Walmart, and Google schemas, then push approved SKUs into your ERP and ecommerce platforms. You review the roughly 6% that need a human decision. We handle the rest.
How it works
A supplier emails Excel price lists, PDFs, image zips, or CSV exports. The agent receives all formats automatically. No template required, no reformatting needed on the supplier's side.

The agent parses every file, extracts product data regardless of column naming or layout, and normalizes fields: product name, MPN, UPC/GTIN, brand, dimensions, weight, UOM, cost, and retail price, all converted to your catalog's standard structure.
Each incoming product is cross-referenced against your live catalog using UPC, description similarity, and attribute overlap. Duplicates from multiple suppliers are detected and merged into one canonical record — not doubled. Low-confidence matches are flagged for review.

Capabilities
Multi-source ingestion
Suppliers send data in their own format: Excel, CSV, PDF, website export, or a mix of all four. Logistify reads whatever arrives without requiring templates or column mappings. If the file has product data in it, the agent finds it.

Duplicate detection
When two suppliers send the same product under different part numbers and names, the agent detects the match using UPC, description similarity, and attribute overlap. Duplicates are merged, not doubled, so your catalog stays clean even as your supplier base grows.

Human review built in
Low-confidence matches, price outliers, and genuinely new SKUs are flagged for human review before they go live. Everything the agent is confident about publishes automatically. You spend 10 minutes reviewing 47 items, not 3,200.

There are currently 1,000+ 'Catalog Specialist' and 'Product Data Specialist' job postings in the U.S. right now. Each one signals the same thing: a distributor or multi-channel seller has enough incoming supplier data that it's consuming a full person's time. This post works through the economics of that hire, what the work actually involves, and when a managed AI service changes the math.

Product catalog automation has a precise meaning that most vendors obscure. This guide covers the full Extract → Normalize → Match → Enrich → Validate → Publish pipeline: what each stage involves, who the work is built for, how it fits alongside ERPs and PIMs, and how Logistify delivers the work as a managed service rather than another tool your team has to operate.
